HEHSJWHS. the english translations sound...tamer, in comparison, even when i try to make it sound similar. i also feel like jisung and y/n's friendship is less uNhiNged as it is in the tagalog version, same with y/n's spunky pALAvHUn personality.

but idk 😭💔 i'd def love to hear ur thoughts as a reader for both sides ahuhuhu💧💧💧

ngl, alot of the slang/references are cut from the english version, like the marites jokes and us saying hAtDOg (for some reason). plus the call-outs to our current PH elections. the whole vibes of chan being conyo/gwapo typings are also gonna be gone for the english version too JWHSJAHSH

though probably the one i'm most sad about is minho's characterization

since i specifically made him to be very modest and humble—someone who's in a prestigious university but barely speaks any english because he's just so makabayan like that 🥰😍‼️🇵🇭. so now that i can't have him speak tagalog, i feel like his appeal diminishes a bit 😔💔

This is one of the projects I've been working on!! Unfortunately it takes me so long to draw digitally but I'm trying to get better. Anyways, these are some alternate Theo outfits I made with some names I gave-and of course since he's not a merc I had the freedom to just be weird with it and not stick to a certain color scheme or look. Out of all of them "Cold blooded" is my favorite because...h-hot

Default: The boy™ classic

Humble beginnings: THE BOY!! Original!! Aka 17-year-old "Theo"(in quotes bc Theodore is not his real name and at this point he wasn't going by that name) from his mafia days

Beach body ready: Honestly I just wanted to draw him in beach clothes. I based his beach clothes off of a beach chapter in "Way of The Househusband" and I believe Theo would refuse to be in public with his forearms exposed bc of his burn scars

The butler did it: Theo's job is essentially a butler+a second Miss Pauling, so of course I had to put him in a butler outfit. I can imagine him wearing this as a halloween costume

Return to form: What I have planned for Theo's "character arc" is that after working with the mercs for 4 years he slowly starts to be more comfortable with himself and becomes less worried about pretending to be someone else. As a result, he stops wearing his fake glasses, he shows his scars more, and he starts talking more casually than the very formal demeanor he has toward the mercs. I don't know if this sounds weird, but I guess this would be Theo's "canon" design in the future. I'd really love to make more Future-Theo content just to get his characterization right and show the contrast from future and present day him

Silent but deadly: ...I just thought it would be funny. Realistically, someone probably forced him to wear that and he was uncomfortable the whole time

Know your roots: This one is a little closer to home for me because both Theo and I are Filipino. What he's wearing is a barong tagalog, which is a traditional formal shirt in the Philippines. I couldn't really make a pattern on his shirt, so i settled with something simple. I'd imagine that Theo has a lot of pride in his culture but because he spent so long on the run(and because he faces a lot of discrimination in America for his race) he rarely shows anything from his culture. This wouldn't be an actual outfit in his closet but he'd certainly be happy to own one if it was.

Cold blooded: This outfit and "Return to form" are both future Theo outfits bc I love this fit too much to have him only wear it once. He's wearing an Oni mask which I've heard is sometimes associated with Yakuza, so this outfit is a more unhinged and violent version of "Return to form". This Theo will not hesitate to beat someone to death and he will have an unchanging furious expression the entire time.
